The story continues on to its final chapters; we rejoin the knave in his quest to find and defeat the dark wizard as mandated by prophecy. The hero has journeyed to the cursed mountain in which the wizard resides, only to find himself lost in a seemingly endless labyrinth.

1 - The labyrinth seems almost laughably repetitive: tunnels, stairs, tunnels again. Food supplies are running short and the hero pines for home.

2 - Our hero contemplates his situation. The prophecy has brought him to this point but has left him for rot. Why?

3 - A strange monstrosity attacks the knave. He tries desperately to conquer the beast but is ultimately forced into a desperate flee through the maze as his last torchlight fades. When all appears safe, the hero is ambushed; all goes black as he makes peace with the end of his journey.

4 - As life fades from the hero, the dormant prophecy re-awakens.

5 - The knave is plucked from the brink of oblivion and revitalized.

6 - Suddenly the twisting catacombs make sense to the hero, who can now navigate to the quarters of the wizard and fulfill the prophecy.

7 - The knave arrives at the wizard's laboratory, which contains horrific experiments and unspeakable magic.

8 - The wizard is found and the fateful battle occurs. After great struggle, the knave is victorious and the prophecy is fulfilled.

9 - The knave returns home as a hero (for a short time). Everyone in his town now knows him, and he can no longer live in his familiar dishonest ways. Robbed of the only life he has ever known, he fades into obscurity with nothing.
